Oncology Profile
6 Tumour Markers · Only ₹3,499
⚠️ Ovarian cancer has a 90%+ survival rate at Stage I — but less than 30% at Stage IV. These cancers are often silent in early stages. A single blood test for 6 markers is the most accessible form of preventive cancer screening available.
Screen 5 cancers. One blood draw. No fasting. 6 established tumour markers — CA125 (ovarian), CA15.3 (breast), CA 19.9 (pancreatic), CEA (colorectal/lung), AFP (liver), Beta HCG (gynaecological) — covering the five most clinically significant cancers for women. Annual preventive screening, post-treatment monitoring, or investigating symptoms.
All 6 Tests — Complete Breakdown
Tests marked ✦ Primary Marker are the first-line established markers for their cancer type (CA125 for ovarian, CA15.3 for breast). Tests marked ✦ Key Marker are the international clinical standards for their respective cancers. All include reference ranges.
CA125 — Ovarian Cancer Marker✦ Primary Marker
CA125 (Cancer Antigen 125) is the most important tumour marker for epithelial ovarian cancer — the most common and deadliest form of ovarian cancer. Used for initial ovarian cancer evaluation, monitoring response to chemotherapy, and detecting recurrence. Also elevated in endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease and benign ovarian cysts — clinical interpretation by a gynaecologist is essential.
Reference: Upper normal: 35 U/mL
CA15.3 — Breast Cancer Marker✦ Primary Marker
CA15.3 (MUC1 antigen) is the primary serum marker for breast cancer. Used for monitoring treatment response (falling levels indicate therapeutic efficacy), staging advanced breast cancer, and detecting early recurrence after surgery or chemotherapy. May also be modestly elevated in benign breast disease and liver conditions. Particularly valuable for women with a family history of breast cancer or BRCA gene mutations.
Reference: Normal: <30 U/mL — above 100 in treated patients may indicate metastasis
CA 19.9 (Carbohydrate Antigen 19-9)✦ Key Marker
The standard tumour marker for pancreatic cancer — one of the most aggressive cancers with less than 12% 5-year survival at late stages. Also elevated in bile duct, gallbladder, colorectal and gastric cancers. Particularly used to diagnose pancreatic cancer in patients with symptoms (jaundice, weight loss, back pain) and to screen high-risk populations including those with chronic pancreatitis or new-onset diabetes after 50.
Reference: Normal: <37 U/mL — note: ~5–10% of individuals are Lewis antigen-negative
CEA — Carcino Embryonic Antigen✦ Key Marker
The primary marker for colorectal cancer and the most widely used tumour marker globally. Also elevated in lung, gastric, pancreatic and breast cancers. Used for monitoring surgical and chemotherapy treatment of colorectal cancer and detecting post-operative recurrence. Smoking increases CEA independently of cancer — clinically important for result interpretation.
Reference: Normal: <2.5 ng/mL (non-smokers) · <5.0 ng/mL (smokers)
AFP — Alpha-Fetoprotein✦ Key Marker
Primary tumour marker for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) — primary liver cancer — and for germ cell tumours of the ovary. Normally very low in adults. Levels above 400 ng/mL in a patient with cirrhosis are diagnostic of HCC with high specificity. AFP is also elevated in active hepatitis, cirrhosis and pregnancy. AFP surveillance every 6 months is recommended for all patients with liver cirrhosis or hepatitis B/C.
Reference: Normal adults: <10 ng/mL — above 400 in cirrhosis is highly specific for HCC
Beta HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin)✦ Key Marker
Definitive marker for gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD) — including hydatidiform mole, invasive mole and choriocarcinoma. Also elevated in germ cell tumours of the ovary. Persistently elevated or rising Beta HCG 6 weeks after pregnancy termination or miscarriage may indicate GTD requiring treatment. Used to monitor response to chemotherapy in GTD — levels must normalise to confirm complete remission.
Reference: Normal in non-pregnant women: <5 mIU/mL

Why NABL Accreditation Is Non-Negotiable for Tumour Marker Tests
Tumour marker assays directly determine whether a patient undergoes further investigation or cancer treatment. A falsely elevated result causes unnecessary anxiety; a falsely normal result may provide dangerous false reassurance. Only NABL-certified results are clinically safe to act upon.

What Our Patients Say
"My mother (58) had been having persistent bloating for months — dismissed as gastric. I booked the Women's Oncology Profile at Lotus Diagnostics near Nizampet. CA125 came back at 68 U/mL — elevated. Her gynaecologist at Apollo arranged a transvaginal ultrasound immediately, which found an early-stage ovarian mass. Surgery at Stage 1 — completely curable. The ₹3,499 test that changed everything. NABL report accepted without question."
"I was treated for breast cancer 3 years ago and use CA15.3 for regular monitoring. Other labs near KPHB charge ₹1,800 for CA15.3 alone. The complete 6-marker panel here costs ₹3,499 — and gives my oncologist a full picture every 6 months. Home collection is completely private, no hospital anxiety. Report on WhatsApp within 10 hours every time. I won't go anywhere else."
"AFP was slightly elevated — I have hepatitis C and my gastroenterologist had been monitoring me. The Lotus NABL report triggered the ultrasound protocol my doctor uses. All clear this time but the monitoring continues. The fact that no fasting is needed and home collection near Miyapur is free makes this genuinely the easiest screening test to do regularly. Consistent, accurate results every time."

Women's Cancer Screening Blood Test in Nizampet, Hyderabad — Complete Guide
Why Annual Cancer Marker Screening Matters
Cancer is the second leading cause of death among women in India, and the five cancers screened in this panel share a critical characteristic: they are highly treatable when detected early, and life-threatening when detected late. Ovarian cancer has a 90%+ survival rate at Stage I — but less than 30% at Stage IV. The challenge is that these cancers are often silent in early stages with vague symptoms that are easy to dismiss.
At Lotus Diagnostics Nizampet, this 6-marker oncology panel costs ₹3,499 — with no fasting, free confidential home collection and NABL-accredited reports within 24 hours.
