Complete Vitamin
Deficiency Test
13 Panel · Only ₹8,499
⚠️ Over 70% of Indians are deficient in at least 3 vitamins — and most don't know it. Standard blood tests check only B12 and Vitamin D. This panel tests all 13.
Every vitamin. One test. One home visit. The only panel that measures all 5 fat-soluble vitamins (D2, D3, A, E, K1) and every B-group vitamin (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12) from a single blood draw — giving you an exact nutritional map that tells you precisely which supplements your body needs.
All 13 Tests — Complete Breakdown
Tests marked ✦ Fat-Soluble are processed by HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) methodology — the gold standard for precision vitamin measurement. Tests marked ✦ Water-Soluble are the B-group vitamins processed by validated immunoassay.
Vitamin D2✦ Fat-Soluble
Plant-derived Vitamin D obtained from fortified foods, mushrooms and supplements. Measured separately from D3 — the only way to assess dietary vs sunlight-derived Vitamin D status and to guide plant-based supplementation decisions.
Deficiency causes: Bone softening (osteomalacia), muscle weakness, immune suppression, fatigue, increased infection susceptibility.
Vitamin D3✦ Fat-Soluble
Sunlight-synthesised form of Vitamin D — 2–3× more potent than D2 at raising serum levels. Despite India's abundant sunshine, indoor lifestyles mean most Indians synthesise insufficient D3. This is the primary driver of India's massive Vitamin D deficiency burden affecting 70%+ of the population.
Deficiency causes: Bone fractures, persistent fatigue, depression, cognitive decline, low immunity, cardiovascular disease risk, worsened PCOS and diabetes.
Vitamin A✦ Fat-Soluble
Essential for vision (rod cell function, night vision), immune system maturation, skin cell turnover and reproductive health. A double-edged nutrient — deficiency causes blindness and immune failure, while excess from over-supplementation causes liver toxicity. Blood testing is the only safe way to guide supplementation.
Deficiency causes: Night blindness, dry eyes, frequent infections, rough dry skin, impaired wound healing, poor bone growth in children.
Vitamin B12✦ Water-Soluble
The most critical B vitamin — essential for nerve myelin synthesis, DNA replication and red blood cell formation. Found almost exclusively in animal foods, making vegetarians, vegans and the elderly particularly vulnerable. Works synergistically with B9 (Folate) — testing both together is clinically essential to prevent masking deficiencies.
Deficiency causes: Peripheral neuropathy (tingling/numbness), megaloblastic anaemia, memory problems, depression, fatigue, subacute combined degeneration of the spinal cord.
Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)✦ Water-Soluble
Critical co-enzyme in glucose metabolism and ATP (energy) production. Severe deficiency causes beriberi and Wernicke's encephalopathy. Subclinical B1 deficiency is common in heavy alcohol drinkers, dialysis patients and those with poor diets — causing subtle cognitive impairment and neuropathy that is easily missed on standard tests.
Deficiency causes: Fatigue, nerve pain, heart failure (wet beriberi), confusion and memory loss (Wernicke encephalopathy), muscle weakness.
Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)✦ Water-Soluble
Essential for cellular energy production and antioxidant function. Critically, B2 deficiency amplifies deficiencies of other B vitamins because it is required for the metabolic activation of B6 and Folate. Common in restrictive diets and vegans. Often presents with oral symptoms — cracked lips, mouth sores and swollen tongue — frequently misdiagnosed.
Deficiency causes: Cracked lips (cheilosis), mouth sores, swollen tongue, eye sensitivity to light, skin rashes, anaemia, worsened B6 and folate status.
Vitamin B3 (Niacin)✦ Water-Soluble
Precursor to NAD⁺ and NADP⁺ — co-enzymes essential for energy metabolism, DNA repair and cell signalling. Severe deficiency causes pellagra (the three Ds: dermatitis, diarrhoea, dementia). Subclinical B3 deficiency causes fatigue, anxiety and skin sensitivity. B3 also has pharmacological effects on lipid metabolism at therapeutic doses.
Deficiency causes: Pellagra (dermatitis, diarrhoea, dementia), fatigue, anxiety, sun-sensitive skin rash, poor wound healing, GI disturbance.
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid)✦ Water-Soluble
Component of Coenzyme A — one of the most central molecules in metabolic biochemistry, involved in fatty acid synthesis, cholesterol production, hormone synthesis, neurotransmitter production and the Krebs cycle. Particularly important during chronic stress as it supports adrenal hormone production. Deficiency common in eating disorders and malnutrition.
Deficiency causes: Burning feet syndrome, adrenal insufficiency, irritability, poor wound healing, fatigue, numbness and tingling.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)✦ Water-Soluble
Involved in over 100 enzymatic reactions — particularly amino acid metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis (serotonin, dopamine, GABA), homocysteine metabolism and haemoglobin production. B6 deficiency raises homocysteine (cardiac risk), causes anaemia unresponsive to iron, and neurological symptoms including depression. Commonly depleted by oral contraceptive use and alcohol.
Deficiency causes: Depression, confusion, anaemia, cracked lips, elevated homocysteine, weakened immunity, skin rashes (seborrheic dermatitis).
Vitamin B7 (Biotin)✦ Water-Soluble
Cofactor for carboxylase enzymes involved in fatty acid synthesis, glucose metabolism and amino acid catabolism. Widely marketed for hair and nail health — a claim with genuine scientific basis for people who are actually deficient. Note: High-dose Biotin supplementation significantly interferes with immunoassay diagnostic tests — making blood level testing essential for patients taking Biotin supplements.
Deficiency causes: Hair thinning and loss, brittle nails, scaly red rash, depression, fatigue, neuropathy, blood sugar dysregulation.
Vitamin B9 (Folic Acid / Folate)✦ Water-Soluble
Essential for DNA synthesis, cell division and the one-carbon metabolism cycle that controls methylation throughout the body. B9 and B12 work together to maintain normal homocysteine levels — low folate raises homocysteine, increasing cardiovascular disease risk. Folate deficiency during pregnancy causes neural tube defects. Measured as serum folate — the most accurate assessment of actual tissue folate status.
Deficiency causes: Megaloblastic anaemia, elevated homocysteine (cardiac risk), neural tube defects in pregnancy, fatigue, mouth sores, poor DNA repair, depression.
Vitamin K1✦ Fat-Soluble
Primary dietary form of Vitamin K from leafy green vegetables. Essential for blood clotting factor activation and — critically — for directing calcium into bones rather than into arteries. People supplementing Vitamin D without checking K1 may be accelerating arterial calcification. This is one of the most frequently missing tests in standard vitamin panels.
Deficiency causes: Impaired blood clotting (easy bruising, prolonged bleeding), poor bone mineralisation, arterial calcification (especially with high-dose Vitamin D supplementation without K1).
Vitamin E✦ Fat-Soluble
The body's primary fat-soluble antioxidant — protecting cell membranes and lipoproteins (LDL) from oxidative damage. Deficiency causes haemolytic anaemia, peripheral neuropathy and impaired immune function. Significant in people with fat malabsorption (pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, bariatric surgery) or very low fat diets. Testing rules out deficiency before neurological symptoms become permanent.
Deficiency causes: Peripheral neuropathy, haemolytic anaemia (RBC breakdown), muscle weakness, impaired immunity, poor vision, worsened oxidative stress.

What Our Patients Say
"I was taking Vitamin D, B12 and Biotin supplements for 6 months with no improvement in fatigue or hair loss. This 13-panel test showed B2 and B6 were severely deficient — something my multivitamin wasn't covering at all. My nutritionist immediately adjusted my protocol. Within 8 weeks of targeted supplementation my energy completely changed. No other lab near Nizampet offers this complete panel."
"My D3 was critically low at 9 ng/mL while D2 was borderline — which my doctor explained meant I wasn't absorbing sunlight correctly. K1 was also low, which explained why my Vitamin D supplementation wasn't helping my bones. My doctor said this level of vitamin D fractionation is only available at labs with HPLC equipment. The NABL report from Lotus Diagnostics near KPHB was accepted at KIMS without question."
"I'm a long-term vegan and my doctor suspected multiple deficiencies. Booked the 13-panel at Lotus near Miyapur. B12 critically low (expected), but also B1, B2 and Vitamin A were deficient — deficiencies I never would have suspected. The result gave my nutritionist everything needed to design a personalised supplement protocol. Home collection was seamless, report came in 36 hours. Worth every rupee."

Why Test All 13 Vitamins — Not Just B12 and Vitamin D
Most people supplement based on guesswork — Vitamin D because someone recommended it, B12 because they feel tired. The problem is that vitamins interact in complex ways. Supplementing one without knowing your full status can worsen other deficiencies. This 13-panel test solves this completely — measuring every clinically significant vitamin from a single blood draw, giving you an exact nutritional map for targeted supplementation.
At Lotus Diagnostics Nizampet, this 13-vitamin panel costs ₹8,499 — with free home collection and NABL-accredited reports within 24–48 hours.
